Our Aims

Here at Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College we pride ourselves on ensuring all students in our care can reach their true potential. We believe in ‘Achievement for all’ regardless of age or ability and are committed to providing students with the best possible education. Our students are at the heart of everything we do. Our curriculum is broad and teaching across the school prepares pupils eff ectively for the next stage in their education.

We strive..

• To ensure all of our students make sustained progress and achieve well over time

• To provide students with well-planned lessons that help them to develop a range of skills across the curriculum

• To impart knowledge and assist our students in developing a ‘thirst for knowledge’

• To provide well targeted support and intervention so that pupils can learn well in lessons.

A good school creates an atmosphere that promotes effective teaching and learning. The talented staff at Ferryhill look to stimulate children and guide them to success in all that they do. We believe that all children can achieve. We look to maintain an effective partnership with parents and community to fulfil the potential of each of our students.

At Ferryhill Business and Enterprise College we take Child Protection very seriously and have designated members of staff for this area. Our designated members of staff are Tim Pinkney Deputy Head Teacher and Gemma Bowden our Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator’
